Carl's an ex-marine turned contract killer, and Anna is the daughter of an abusive drug addict who takes out his every sick desire on his timid daughter.
Carl tries to tell himself that his new line of work is justified, since he's only killing criminals - after all, he's no stranger to putting bullets in men who deserve it - so when he gets an order to kill a rival who got on the wrong side of the mob, he doesn't think twice.
