Sarah's husband, Theo, forgets his wallet on his way to the local library to study for his Master's degree. In an attempt to make sure that he doesn't have any issues with the local law enforcement, or get stranded without money, Sarah gets in the car to drop it off to him. What she discovered was a dark secret that her husband had been keeping from her. He and the librarian were having an affair.
"Oh," she said, "your wife doesn't read any books?" The librarian disappeared from my line of vision. I could hear the faint sound of my husband's jeans being unzipped.
"I don't think she's read a single book during our marriage," he said, "maybe she'll look at the pictures in a magazine." The two of them laughed hard at my perceived stupidity. The sound of their laughter covered up the sound of her pulling down his pants.
