"The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" is a detective novel by Agatha Christie, featuring Hercule Poirot as the lead detective. The story is narrated by Dr. James Sheppard, who lives with his sister Caroline in the village of Kings Abbot. The novel received positive reviews and is considered one of Christie's best works. It has been adapted into stage plays, films, and television dramas.
