To obtain an enhanced understanding of the era, I reviewed news articles from the following agencies:
Dallas Observer, Dallas Morning News, Dallas Times Herald, D Magazine, Texas Monthly, etc. In addition, I utilized the services of Texas Portal History and reviewed some videos related to the era.
In addition, I utilized Texas Portal History as a resource, I was able to review video's from NBC News in Dallas, Texas regarding the 1980's crack-cocaine era.
Perspectives: Black Perspective included when possible.
Wikipedia was utilized to enhance bibliographies and a few conspiracy theories.
