Eleni Argyros cleans the title on other people's pasts for a living. A maritime lawyer in Sydney, she reads old ship registries the way other people read weather, looking for the seam where the paperwork gets too tidy to be true.
The brief seems routine: clear a 1907 Greek pearling registry so a coastal consortium can build along the Dampier Peninsula.
