Two years have passed since The Covert Militias were established. Though the Dark Warlord Janus is nowhere to be found, his nexus of allies is still strong. The Order of Neo-Nazis, led by Arnold Schneider, has discovered a porthole to a parallel world in Dusseldorf, Germany, inhabited by animals extinct on Earth and beings thought to be mythical, nomadic tribes, and feudal kingdoms. Schneider deployed his commandos to that world to obtain specimens to use as weapons, and Jack Stamper and his soldiers are sent to the primitive world.
At the same time, Konstantin Lurtsev is almost finished realigning the U.S.S.R., and has taken control of Juliana Lovasky's hometown of Yekaterinburg and is placed in a gulag for defiance. After Jack rescued Juliana from execution, they meet with their allies in the primitive world where their expedition gains them new allies and enemies knowing full well, Janus could reemerge at any moment, with a savage agenda.
