The novel is about two people that live totally different lives; a redneck who lives a simple life and the other is a woman that lives a life of luxury.
Franklin is a redneck and lives the simple life. He lives in a rough shack and spends his time hunting for coons with his hounds. He does odd jobs to get by, but mainly just enjoys life. Franklin is very cocky and smart, but says things without thinking so gets himself into trouble.
He runs onto his old high school girlfriend Mary Lou who buys him lunch. They talk about the old days and how much fun they had together.
She is a bankers' wife and lives in an expensive house and lives a life of luxury. She spends her life going to the Country Club and shopping. But she is bored and unhappy and suddenly sees an opportunity to get out of her unhappy marriage and go back to her career. She also decides that Franklin is what she needs to make that happen.
Franklin is hesitant about getting involved with her again and fears losing his carefree lifestyle. Mary Lou, however, knows what she wants and goes after it.
This is an erotic romance novel.
