The Author believes that the Resource Curse is real. This paper is the research dissertation for The Authors MBA and had the following objectives;
1. Identify a range of countries in Africa that are suffering The Resource Curse, and identify common themes for causes.
2. Identify which reputable, reliable, historical secondary data sets best express the causes in statistical terms. Manipulate this data to generate the Resource Curse Indicator (RCI).
3. Using the RCI, assess if Kenya is at risk from suffering The Resource Curse.
4. Hypothesise solutions for Kenya to implement now, prior to the commercialisation of discovered resources, in order to mitigate the risks of being affected by The Resource Curse.
