Many serial killers earned their monikers from the press who needed to make them stand out in order to sell the newspapers and intrigue the public. Therefore, we have the Night Stalker, the Zodiac Killer, Son of Sam, and so on. All of them terrorized their neighborhoods or entire cities at one point in time. A young woman made it to the list with a quite modern nickname - the Selfie Killer. Amanda Taylor is a millennial and not a serial killer. However, her crime shocked the nation because she decided to publish her own photograph with her murder victim. She then embarked on a killing spree which was luckily prevented. Amanda wanted to be infamous and hoped she would become known globally through a most gruesome deed. She often spoke about the serial killers she admired and fantasized about becoming one.
