descriptif du fournisseur

3513 AD. Earth has been destroyed and humans have moved out into the solar system. On Mars, a few humans have used advanced technology to declare themselves gods, and rule the others with an iron fist.

But not everything is perfect on Mars. Dead bodies are being stolen from the graveyard, and it looks like someone is building an army of ghosts.

A little boy who died a thousand years ago suddenly turns up in the desert. Anything or anyone he touches dies a horrible death.

And worst of all, a terrible human being who blew up the Earth and killed ten billion people has been freed from his prison. He is even now making his way to Mars.

The time for the Martians has run out.

Interview with the Author

Q: What is the book about?

A: So I had this idea: What if a few people used advanced computer technology and nanotech to become gods and rule over others? And so I took the Indian mythology I had grown up with and turned it into a space adventure.  The book is set on Mars, but it is a Mars like ancient India, complete with superstitions and gods who control every aspect of human life.

And these Martians are at war with Pluto, which is more like the modern western countries. And so there is a clash not just of cultures but technology as well.

Q: What is the inspiration for the book?

A: Two books actually. Lords of Light by Roger Zelazny was where I first read about humans using technology to become gods, and it really inspired me. And then there was Quantum Thief by Hannu Rajaniemi which really took the idea of minds downloaded into computers to a really cool zone.

In movies, The Matrix was a real inspiration, as was Dark City.
