Tong One - The Associates, #14

The Madam takes a call on her private number. A friend is in need. She drops what she is doing and flies to aid if possible. Her private 757 is in the air under an hour. It approaches Chinese airspace and then its transponder is of the Red Airforce. It lands at an airbase close to Hong Kong and the Madam leaves her plane for a flag covered limousine which stops for nothing. She is dressed in jet black as a coolie. Upon arriving she is greeted by three men. They have a situation typical of a Chinese drama. But most important is the 'loss of face' that might occur to a person who is in the innermost circle of the Party. Can she assist him out of this affair and at the same time allow them to continue to drill for oil? He fears they will blame people that have done nothing wrong. These people are small in number but in the future the person making the false accusations is never heard of again. She leaves understanding the situation.

The Madam's second meeting is in Hong Kong in a high rise building. She is dressed as the businesswoman.

She is frank, "I warned you not to do business with the Tong. They want a chair with all of you and maybe a way into my organization. You have been foolish. You may deserve what happens to you. I will see what I can do."

She changes cars on her way back to her airplane. She is being watched but for what purpose?

Eluding their eyes she takes her airplane on a trip to outer Mongolia; she returns the next morning.

She walks to the meeting thru the basements of adjoining buildings and is two minutes late. Everyone feels she has left them to their own fates.

But she appears, "I have a box with enough information to expose the Tong's boy in this affair.  Shortly thereafter, one of their members has a heart attack, "his family will be paid his current share of the profits" and they start to look for another partner.

She flies home but in the small room where she was dressed as a coolie, "Place a note in my personal journal, "I owe the Madam a favor, she will decide when to collect it."

On her flight back to Seattle she hears, "A Tong killing has occurred, no suspects. The FBI took possession of a shipping container containing drugs valued at $14 million, details at 11:00."
