A waitress in a strip club is still trying to escape the mental hold of being a battered wife even though her husband is finally gone. She is still frightened of the world and it makes her quiet and meek. One night a mysterious soldier walks into the bar and never sees the naked women, he only sees her. She has been with her husband since high school and it is terrifying and exciting for him to take an interest in her.
The mysterious soldier lavishes her with extravagant tips and lofty compliments. Everything seems to fall into place and she takes him home with her. He worships her and brings out the fierce woman she once was. Their passionate night culminates in a fiery embrace and he takes her to bed. It's the first woman he has been with since he came home from Iraq and she welcomes him home like every hero should be welcomed.
