This novel is a story born from the crossroads of cultures. Inspired by the experiences of growing up in Western Kenya, surrounded by tradition, community, and resilience, I wanted to explore how love transcends boundaries, geographical, cultural, and emotional. When Julius Alexander Ochieng, a young man from Lwanya village in Busia, Kenya, meets Maria Silva, an art student from Lisbon, Portugal, their worlds could not be more different. Julius carries the rhythms of Kikhayo traditions and the struggles of rural life, while Maria embodies the sophistication of Europe's cultural heritage.
