In the town of Gnagflowia, a once-in-a-century fair takes place in late April/early May, with the most senior officials and famous musicians expected to attend the opening ceremony. Wolf, the Guardian of the Wolves, attends with Genki, the beautiful Akita bitch, and his new friend Brocco, a black tomcat, where they have a marvellous time. During a subsequent stroll around the funfair, they bump into their friends, the wolves Steelclaw, Ironfang and Tiffy with her puppies, eventually ending up at the ghost train and deciding to go for a spooky ride, whilst Ironfang, Tiffy and the puppies vanish inside without a trace. What to do? Fortunately, the elf Elodir returns at that very moment from her job as head of the Mars station. As in Volume II, an animal-human-elven rescue team sets off on an adventure through space and time. Any resemblance to real events or living persons is purely coincidental.
