Wolves of the Kaiser's War is an atmospheric, dramatically rich, historic thriller about a disillusioned Scottish scout, his lovelorn best friend and fellow soldier, and a haunted French Captain on a quest of vengeance. The group pursue a vicious Hungarian count turned war criminal across the ravaged wastes of First World War-era Europe, a transnational manhunt that leads them into the hungry maw of the Spanish Flu epidemic in late 1918 as it ravages New Orleans, Louisiana. There the soldiers cross paths with a disgraced, opium-addicted physician with a faltering moral compass, a terrifying eugenicist murderer, a preternaturally gifted girl, and a Creole trickster spirit, among many others. Inexorably, this vivid cast of characters converge upon a dangerous conspiracy—one that threatens to swallow the city itself.
