When pirates have a score to settle, no one rests in peace.
After a construction crew knocks a hole in the wall at the Blind Badger Pub, they unleash a spectral group of marauding pirates who pass through every night like clockwork. The pub resounds with their pounding footsteps and booming accusations of betrayal.
Desperate to reclaim peace, pub owner Badger turns to his friend and ghost-whispering sleuth Indigo Eady to solve the unusual haunting. To stop the recurring paranormal activity, Indigo must join the pirates on their nightly loop through the pub, then somehow alter the cycle. But when the spooks are a bunch of eighteenth-century pillagers, one an ancestor of Badger's, things get dicey for Indigo.
Will Indigo survive the deadly ordeal when she steps into their world?
This mystery short is a throw-back to Indigo's teenage years previously published as Ghostly Guardian in the Twisted Earths anthology by Untethered Realms in 2014.
