These stories show Holmes in many of his most memorable roles: observer, actor, strategist, master of disguise and servant of justice. The title story, "His Last Bow. The War Service of Sherlock Holmes", moves beyond Baker Street into the world of international espionage, as Holmes confronts a German spy on the eve of the First World War. First published in book form in 1917, His Last Bow brings together stories first published between 1893 and 1917 and marks one of the final stages of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes canon. It is presented here as Volume 8 of The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection, arranged according to the order of original publication. This is the English-language paperback edition of His Last Bow.
